What I meant Stephen is a good climber will throw those branches so they are almost in the mouth of the chipper, or wait til they are cleared, another will just let it all go into an enormous tangle at top speed, without being ‘a team player’

Seriously.... You are supposed to be a team.  Climbing is just one of the jobs and often not the most difficult..  When I was on the tools everyone pitched in till the job was done and I expect that from all my employees and freelancers unless really specialised (crane operator).

David Beckham doesn't come on in the first half, score a couple of goals, and then go for a lie down in the van at half time while everyone else finishes the game off, either.

Being a nice person helps also. I would happily pay a good wage for someone who is nice, easy to get on with and mucks in as opposed to a shit hot climber who acts like he knows better than everyone else. I have absolutely no time for ‘know it alls’ no matter how good a climber they are.

I hardly ever climb for other people these days, but some say  ‘just put it on the ground, we’ll deal with it from there’ to keep the cost down.

 

For others I’ll take all my gear and we will help their guy clear up.

All depends, as they say.
