Sourcing supply of Red Cedar cordwood for building

Question

I wish to build a cordwood wall to fill in the side of an open carport.

Most of my info has come from American sites and it has been suggested that red cedar would be a good wood to use.

Can anyone suggest a sustainable supplier of appropriate soft wood in the Kent area?

If Red Cedar is not available, can anyone put forward a good alternative wood easily available in the UK?

Thank you
