Tachomaster absolutely brilliant and cheap. They saved me about £150 when I started by selling me one unit to download instead of 2. First class customer service too.

I was going to give them a try as they seem keenly priced.  They are quoting a £1.50 a week based on me and one vehicle, I had another company quoting £1.50 a day and it seems pretty much like for like.

Unless you use the AG, forestry, hort exemption that has no weight limit.

Is this of the DVLA website, ? as i have spent many hours on there looking for something that relates to AG weight !

Reason why, i have a vehicle which is plated at total gross wieght of 11200kgs with a tare weight of 6250kgs, but the said vehicle is now AG registered so is the gross weight plate now void ?

I realise that this is a very grey area but its something i cant find much info on,

Design weights are set in stone, even tractors have maximum axle and towing weights. The main difference between truck based ag vehicles is whether they are registered Ag machine or ag tractor, ag machine is allowed 40mph and ag tractors vary.

If your lorry has one you might as well stick a tacho in,

10 seconds in the morning is easier then trying to point a DVSA arse to some exemption you might be liable to,

when i do personal stuff in the lorry i still tacho, beats a headache and trying to explain it,

Having felt the shafting of DVSA despite what they tell you at O licence welcome meetings there not understanding nor lenient and would rather give you a fine and let you either pay or talk about it in court than discuss it road side or maybe cable your truck instead

Thanks guys,  Part 2.

What are owner/operators (single driver in company) using for tacho analysis?  I appreciate their are companies online offering the service but it seems they are more aimed at fleets with multiple drivers/vehicles.  My situation is just me and one truck.

You can  buy tools to download the data.

I guess most come with software to do it.
