Sports hall floor advice please

Did a deal a while ago and acquired this hard wood sports floor that was getting removed as payment, though I would use it on a house renovation project that is now in its last stages, needless to say the floor didn’t get used so I am going to advertise it and sell it on.

Problem is I don’t know what type of wood it is, anyone like to hazard a guess from looking at the pics and the value. I have about 45 square meters of it.

The piece I have taken the pics of I have sanded the line markings off it and put a wee of wax on it, and it has come up well.

Thanks in advance for your thoughts.

Likely Merbau or Mahog, likely been secret nailed if sports job so will depend on its condition. Reclaimed market is ticking along but dark exotics not as popular now.

I'd say you'd get 10-20 quid a square metre for it.

DM if you want further info and I could put you in touch with a few contacts. (Wood floorings my day job ??)

Looks like what I would call teak but bear in mind I know very little about wood types bar the normal knowledge! As Stubby says.....Mr Devile

Mr Devile????   makes me sound like Cruella's husband...

i will need a close up of the endgrain sanded to 400g to be sure but i believe this may be one of the Afzelia genus which are hard and tough timbers that have historically been used for flooring.

if i was sent a sample i could be 100% sure.
