Fully understand whats going on pal , my work is in the middle of fucking no where like in commercial forestry, BUT who i cut for has stopped all hand cutting till further notice, WHY, due to the NHS being under extream pressure, and at the moment if any thing happened i would not to be wanting to either take some one in to a hospital or be taken my self, so i am out of work with not much sign of any help for 9 wk  from the government, Top and bottom of it it should be just the same for us all say for example £800 month Not a percentage of what you was earning, It is a crisis situation not a time to profit out of it but some will.

Agree mate, it was just my frustration coming out, wasn’t meant as a personal criticism.

Universal income had some obvious simple advantages (some bear traps too) but that would just be too bloody simple.

Travel to and from work is an exempted activity.

There is ABSOLUTELY NOTHING in the dotGov guidance that places any addition caveats on the nature, location or perceived ‘urgency’ of the work.

That has all been added afterwards by lower level ‘authorities.’

Boris, like Donald, as perfectly cognisant of the negative effect of closing industries down. There is a specific list of businesses that MUST close, if you ain’t on the list, you don’t have to close.

Does no one else think this 2m distancing mantra gives a false sense of security?

The virus has a half life of 3 hours in air and this 2m advice is based on the rate at which a droplet containing the virus will settle out of the air.

I think statistically it may be a decent predictor but, to my mind, because of the rate of infection and morbidity in less than elderly medical staff severe exposure is much worse. ATM no one knows how many viruses infected people shed nor  how many virus actually survive the body's defences and mucus membrane to enter a cell and replicate RNA

Unless I read it wrong, I suspect anyone that has ploughed profit back into plant & machinery should expect next to SFA from this.

Also, early analysis suggest grants received ‘now’ (actually after June 1) will be classed as taxable income come end 20/21 SATR.

You couldn’t make it up 😂

@Mark J - now would be a good time to send me a JC fan club subscription 😂

Too late for that I'm afraid. There may be some window stickers in a box you can have.
