A party political broadcast containing nothing but opinions which as we all know are like blah blah blah. Any government in this situation won’t keep all the people happy all the time, if he’d locked the whole country down weeks ago the outcry would have been off the scale, the current incumbents at number 10 are reacting as is everyone to a fluid situation based on the scientific advice available.

Hardly a party political broadcast. I voted for this man who's making wishy washy decisions over this crisis. He's supposed to lead, not react!

UK is  like a 3rd world country compared to how china has dealt with it and we had more warning and time to prepare.

I lived in China going on 20 years ago. You can’t believe much that comes from government. As westerners we were watched as we walked the streets with party officials radioing to the next party table up the road( they had party officials on every other block in the cities in those days)

they tell the world what they think is palatable I doubt it’s changed much since.

oh and I don’t believe for a minute they only had 86000 cases.....

You voted Tory?

Yes! Like a lot of people I was a swing voter - although I agree with a lot of socialist principles I know it only works with a capitalist society. Last election Corbyn wasn't the right man for the job and many of his proposals didn't hold water so for that and other reasons I voted blue and by default helped elect Johnson.

My beef lies with the way hes dealt with the virus. The best thing hes done recently is appoint Rishi Sunak who seems to be really on the ball despite delays on S/e and will probably save Boris' bacon. But this has been coming for about 3 months. Watching PMQ's the other day was an eye-opener as to how much he still doesn't have a specific answer to. He must have been briefed or expected someone to ask about frontline ppe and yet there was only notions of 'as soon as possible'. How hard is it to ring up the manufacturer/supplier and ask when the first batch will arrive, and in the meantime he's calling on 250000 volunteers to help with things like transporting outpatients - that's taking them closer to hospitals and infection and with no ppe?

Meanwhile Matt Hancock was making statements about going to work that conflicted with other government statements. Also shops like Wickes have been open and everyones heading there so they can do their DIY projects whilst isolated - why not close them to everyone without a trade account at least. It's crazy!  Call this a party political rant if you like, but I'm worried for friends working in ambulances and hospitals.

Partially yes. But if you think there will not be a financial penalty to the everyday people in the UK you're in for a nasty shock.

You cant print money indefinitely without inflation going off the scale. We're not the US, our currency is not in global demand. There's not one shithole Ive worked that does not accept good old USD. wave a fiver at them and you've got a long walk home.

the shitholes of this world dont accept the scots pound,as you know andy, the yankee dollar is king, lol.
