Hi I have just inherited 2 ms180,s and both of them have the same problem and that is the clip that holds the trigger bar to the saw near where the off wire is has broken off and it’s part of the sawbody I think I have a way of mending it but need the on off leaver bar ,would any of you have a trashed one I could get the bit from, or the whole saw body if I can get both on the go then I will have a practice saw for my girlfriend and a backup carving saw ,

Thanks in advance.  Mark

The farmertec bodies are cheap enough for these saws Mark, failing that then you can get the levers of ebay for peanuts. I’ve wire tied a few for people due to cup snapping before now though, its a good enough fix for a low end budget saw, wears the levers after a bit but just do same again [emoji106]

To fit Stihl 017, 018, MS170 and MS180 chainsaws. Switch shaft / choke lever.

Thanks guys , I always try and see if anybody on here has any bits and bobs I might need as I would rather give a few quid to a fellow arbtalker than a stranger on fleabay

I am going to drill a tiny hole in the saw body then screw in a small hook and that should do the trick I will take some photos as I do it .

 Thanks Mark
