Hi there folks my first post on the forum so be kind.  I run a garden machinery sales and repair business in carmarthenshire "cutting edge mechanics" I have out grown my workshop and moving to a larger property to expand the business to include a retail space. The shop is going to be aimed at the pro user.

The question is what sort kit / manufacturer would you like to see in the shop?

apart from oils and chains what are the last 3-5 purchases you made?

I am already a Stihl sub dealer, in talks with Arbortec clothing, silky hand saws, I am  becoming a service agent for forst chippers also.

Depending on the demand for climbing equipment I may do my ticket (already have all my ground work tickets) to get a feel for the sort of kit you need. Or is the climbing kit one off purchases from large trade shows?

thank you for your time Alun.

If you can get Echo. The shop I work at became a dealer back end of last year and their selling well. As for climbing kit, just do some research on what the customer needs. No point doing the ticket if your not going to use it. One of the blokes at work knows just about as much as me about the kit, but has never climbed and I've climbed for 20 years. Knowledge can overcome the experience in some of the kit, especially with new kit coming on the market as it does. If you were thinking of tickets to have some sort of experience you'd have to chipper, climbing, rigging etc.

Consumables are no.1
Oil,chains,sprockets,files
PPE is a must.

Now on reflection...
I've never seen a chainsaw mill in a shop.
Have a chat with@RobD
From Chainsawbars.co.uk
He supplies the best Alaskan style chainsaw mills, big bars, hyperskip chains etc.

Logosol U.K. Also do small attachments for milling, as well as bigger chainsaw mills and bandsaws etc.
