Your comparing apples and oranges.  £65/ton roadside for fresh felled, processor length and diameter (8' *6-12") straight hardwood ready to buck and split and season. Vs your price for the end product.  The ton of the former does.. Not sure...3m³?

On a similar note, if anyone has any green wood (or arb waste) that I can process at home then please let me know. I had a great supply when I lived in Hertfordshire but have now moved to Surrey.

You can try registering on the tip site linked from the top of this forum.  I got a local supply by e-mailing local tree surgeons direct and now have a supply set-up before I was aware of the tip site link...
