A CS or a CL can operate 365 days a year, no restrictions. The 28 day rule is the longest anyone can stay before moving on.

But you would need planning permission for a permanent site. You can't just turn any field into a permanent year round camp site can you?

I'm on a mates CS at the moment it's open 365, no planning required.

Ok. So a 5 van site is allowed. But the 5 acre site would require planning to run for more than 56 days.

I don't think size of the site matters as long as no more than 5 caravans or motorhomes at anyone time.

Here are the rules set out by the Caravan Club, no mention of how many days a person can operate the site. Download the PDF.

To be fair, I'm more concerned about the amount of people launching themselves off bridges,

Amazingly suicide rates internationally didn't rise last year. Maybe those who are depressed dont feel as isolated as they might do as they know so many are in the same boat.

Good news is wife is a health care worker and got her first shot on Friday.

I took the dog for a walk at 530 tonight and I couldn’t believe how much traffic was about on the way to the woods we go to. It was like pre Covid rush hour so no one is paying much attention here it seems.
Same where I live. I don't understand it at all; where are all the stupid buggers going to and from? With hospitality shut, non-essential shops shut, leisure facilities shut, schools shut etc, where is there to go? It's even busy in the middle of the day so can't just be people going to work and back.

non of my business but it’s not going to help Covid bugger off is it!

Drove through Chester today at 11am ish and it struck me as eerily quiet. Similar to 7am on a Sunday.

Then went on to Warrington where it was as if Covid never happened.
