In twenty years time, virtual reality and holograms May have become so developed that travel is unnecessary for many things, especially business meetings

it is already impressive

In fact our grandchildren would be wondering what on Earth we were thinking covering the planet with tarmac, New bypasses, railways runways etc

This whole project is designed to keep the civils going. That's it, they have done the m25 widening work, crossrail nearly done, as is a14, so they need to move onto something else.

Mates daughter was on London news, she is reserved manager for a wildlife trust. The reserve has a sssi, its protected, you cant destroy it, or build on it. Except if you want to plough through it with a rail line, then in that case it's fine!

Seems to be a lot of concern about how much archaeologists and ecologists are getting paid. The bs5837 survey has and will be worth a few quid. That's before the actual site clearance work.  Instead of moaning about how much it will cost jump on the gravy train!

Though it pains me to say it I agree with you, I felt the same about the sale of council housing, a big mistake  for the country but I would have bought had I been a tenant.
