image.thumb.png.7b462e73868141ba85ba9163eb617015.pngA customer brought these laurel samples in to our center the other day. The leaves apparently turn a very pale yellow before developing large brown concentric rings at random points on the leaf. We initially thought shot hole but now we are unsure. one half of the hedge is completely riddled and is starting to spread to the other half. any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated!

Despite its resilience even Laurel can be weakened by a poor environment; what's the soil like?  Could at least part of the pale colour be due to chlorosis which is weakening the plants and allowing secondary problems as per Peasgood's post?

Look after the soil and the plants will (mostly) look after themselves.
