Windfall trees

Plan is at the moment is to attach a pulley block to the dipper arm of our 13 ton 360 and then use the hydraulic winch of the chipper to dismantle the crown and winch it across the river as we have limited access to the far bank, then strop the trunk cut it off and let the water flow bring it to the bank.

If we get this far without disaster we should be able to track it up stream to a meadow with a more stable bank where we can cut it up and get it out.

If we let anything float down stream it will lodge on a weir with not a lot of access.
