One stove only to recommend - what would it be?

Interested to see the popular brands out there

 

Personally I always liked the look of the Morso S1040 when it first came out.

A relative of mine has a Clearview and it is perfect for their large lounge. If I ever change mine that is what I will get.

I have found the Charnwood to be top quality, no problems recommending them.

I have also bought a Flavel, mistake, don’t buy as I have found that a big fat layer of dust gathers and gets trapped on a ledge where the glass sits in and promptly deposits this ash onto the hearth and floor when you open the door. Their customer service is poor as well and were not interested in my complaint.

It can only be a Bullerjan. All the other stoves are just boring metal boxes.

My brother bought a very similar one for our parents, difficult to fill and pig ugly, but there you go, tastes vary.

My father has 2 one is an old villager that he has had problems with and a clearview that has been very good.  I got a clearview on this recommendation and been very happy with it.  Who know if others are better or worse though as the sample size is too small...

P.S. Mine is a Pioneer 400 and his is a Vision 500

Do they use some curved fire bricks?, or flat ones that use more space inside?

There are no firebricks in the stove.

Charnwood Skye 7,  got one live in one of the showrooms, almost everyone who has had a hands on go with the air control has bought one or the same in 5kw.    Exquisitely controllable and exceeds the 2022 Eco Design requirements by at least 35%.
