Any help appreciated for roller removal on a 540?

(Thought id give them a sharpen after lending out the machine ?)

Top roller, springs removed, grub screw removed, can't see anything else, but the knives don't slide off or budge at all, given them a tap and a bit of a lever, but am i missing something? or is a puller best bet?

Get a Dremmel and give them the lightest of tickles in situ, can really make a difference and takes minutes.

I'll get a dremel, thought id do a proper job seeing as not back at work yet.

Plus the inlaws are in the house for a few days

I bought a (very) used 55hp GM, the rollers were slipping and skidding over wood, bit of a dremmel and the machine was transformed into beast mode.

If I was going to the effort of removing the rollers I’d replace the roller knives.

Understand about the in-laws, spent Xmas in the Uk with family, good times, but glad to be back at work.

Only grind the back (vertical side of the teeth)

You probably knew that already but now you know it twice.

If you know anyone with a big Compressor,go to biltema and buy a die grinder, they are ace for this kind of stuff.

If you marked the position of the nuts holding the springs on before you took them off.Replace them with a couple of extra turns,Springs stretch,
