Is there any rule against carrying chainsaws on London’s public transport? Can they throw you off even with an empty tank?

I've been thrown off buses and refused boarding.
Used buses for years in Brighton.
I used several large sports bags to carry the 880 fuel oil and 4' mill on trains.
If they can't see it....

Carry mine and all my tools on public transport and never get any problems,As advised get a decent tool bag to put it in. Had this one delivered 10 mins ago makita and einhell due tomorrow for my cordless drills both cost total under £40. Makita has wheels to
