Are Protos Helmets worth the money?

I have bought a third Protos for the subby climber, I'm confident he'll grow into it eventually.
I'm waiting on 2 more BT coms units to arrive.
I particularly like the scent of my headband, reminds me of Milou's sweaty paws when he would get into bed and try to push me out.

I ordered these in December and Freeworker sent me one unit...

My boy is wearing it in the photo.

The others are due in March.

There was an article on the BBC web site about a worldwide shortage of microchips and the knock on effects for supply chains. Everything that uses one will be effected.

A shortage of computer chips is leading to car factories shutting down for days...

Have you tried outwear? They are the importers we have had some issues with ours so they sorting it but sure they have new u its avaible

What do you think to them are they worth the money? I am currently running sena units which have lasted great but I like the idea of no wires

We love them so easy to use very clear and battery lasts for 3 days being used everyday. We have had issues with two of them stop working but to be fair to Outwear they have moved heaven and earth to fix them and even sent demo ones to get us through while ours are repaired. The lads wouldn’t be without them especially on noise sensitive sites and road jobs makes things so much safer in my eyes and saves a lot of time as you don’t have to keep turning the saw off to hear the groundie. They are very loud too we had senas but got fed up with the wires etc and they are very cumbersome. Only issues with the protos they are bloody expensive I think.

I'm at my wits end with my CT helmet. Its dreadful. Always going out of adjustment and you constantly find it flopping around after a short while....its literally doing my head in. So for those of you who already own a Protos, do you think its the best helmet currently available that you've tried and has it been worthy of the considerable investment despite its questionable Power Ranger design influences ?

Too warm a helmet for me unfortunately
