All of those accidents apart from the crane one which No crane company will let you ride the ball so should not of happened and the idiots who ran out of rope could of been avoided by using two strops.. I do climb on two ropes where it’s necessary and safe but this is a fucking joke!

I was driving to the shops thinking of this earlier. I all of a sudden got really scared as I realised I only had a single seat belt on, one steering wheel & worst of all only one brake pedal !!!!! 

 

It is truly sad when a unique and proud industry is derailed by albeit a well meaning bunch of desk jockeys.

Like you said, a unique industry, so small it escaped the eye of Sauron for a long time, but’s it is being assimilated into the Borg (at least in the UK) finally brought to heel by the guys with clipboards and yellow jackets.

 

(I’m aware I’m mixing the Lord of the Rings with Star Trek, don’t @me)
