Stihl FS 360

After some help, does anyone own an Stihl FS360 clearing saw?  Mine is a 2015 model and when in use the gear housing is making a racket which sounds like it needs some grease.  However, on my saw the housing is sealed and the hand book makes no reference (that i've found) to doing any maintenance on it.  Therefore I have always assumed that its a sealed unit and none is required.  I know that with most heads you have to unscrew the plug and buy the Stihl grease and it screws in and the job is done.  I've also looked on L&S at the replacement gear housing for my model and this comes with that type of arrangement on the head.  However, before I go and invest in new parts I was just wondering if anyone else had encountered this?

Thanks in advance.

My 490 started juddering and giving a scraping noise from the sealed box. I had whacked the homulching blade on some thicker stems and thought I would have to pay the hundred odd for a replacement. My one seemed to cure itself working on low revs - stopped vibrating as bad and grinding clatter noise stopped. The pinions and other bits, Stihl special tool not much of a saving on a new gear head assembly.

If you google 'beg for manuals thread' and join Arborsite and post a request, someone may be of help with the illustrated parts list and also the service manual, or maybe someone here can help.  It shows how to replace the parts, should you want to try.  Also if you get the gearhead part no from L&S Engineers they are somtimes cheaper on ebay, people list random parts to clear

Thanks both, I will take a look over the weekend I've just been checking out L and S and a new gear housing is £170 with VAT which to be honest isn't that bad its done alot of work in 3 years and lots with a mulching blade.  I see a new machine is around £600 so I'd rather spend the £170!

Thanks again
