A wee Oak Coffee/side table.

Recommended Posts

Wanted a small table to go to the side of the Sofa for the Laptop and remotes etc.

I also wanted to have a practice at making mortise and tenons on the Table Saw.

Its 50cm high, 40cm wide and 70cm long.

Was fun making it but took way longer than it should have. 🤣

Nice job ,but am I being dense ,how do you cut a mortise on a table saw

The Tenons, I should have made that clearer. :D I bought a Mortiser. I wanted to have more practice on both though.

Gonna make a jig like the one in this vid. I used the principle but used clamps instead.

Like it, couldn't you'plug' the holes to hide the screws?

Yes, now you mention it I maybe should have. I have a plug kit as well. :D I also remembered Les saying not to put screws into Oak. :D Double boo boo. The Table is low enough not to see them so I'll leave them the now.  I also found backing the screws back out a day later caused them to shear right away. So I dont wanna risk that.

Every days a school day.
