Scafell, Scafell Lite, Airstream, which boot?!

Seems to be a lot of conflicting information on which boots are worthwhile to buy.

Any advice on what to buy as a first pair of climbing boots would be greatly appreciated.

Very used to wearing heavy boots with crampons when ice climbing, so size/weight aren't really considerations.

I really like the Scafell's, but some of the reviews are a bit tepid. Scafell Lites and Meindls seem to get a better write up though...

The scafells are wicked and have lasted me well. Not really tries the lites or the airsteams, though some reports of airstreams not being as durable as they once were. Dont know if true or not.

Id check out the pfanner's and andrews also. Prolly best to go try them all on tbh

I've got four pairs of fell hunters from the new ones I walk in to the oldest that are used for really rough construction jobs. I really rate them, the six year old ones are proper scruffy but still water tight and Comfy. Once broken in they are nice to climb in though never going to be a tree slipper.
