Cold weather chainsaw boots

Hello all, come for some advice and info about boots. I've had meindl airstreams from day 1 and never had any complaints...untill it gets below -5. I find with the steel toes and steel midsoles they turn Into little freezers in the snow.

Can anyone reccomend some comfy boots with a different (warmer) protective material?

Alternatively does anyone know of any boot warmers/heated socks that are worth investing in?

Cheers!

Get a pair of woolpower socks. It won't matter what boots you are wearing then providing they are waterproof. These aren't cheap but are durable. I have a couple pairs that I reckon must be 8 years old now and are still intact....obviously they don't get used every day of the year though!

Woolpower Socks made from merino wool in Ulfrotte Original 200g to 800g and LITE ranges, keeping your feet in the best shape possible. Warm and dry.

I had the same problem with Airstreams, good boots but cold.

I’ve gone for the Andrews now, and they seem much better so far, although I didn’t get them till about March.

@Rich Rule has had both and lives in Norway, so he would know.

Steve’s sock advice is good as well.

They seem expensive, but they are cheap as chips in the long run.

Ha, what are the odds. One of the foresters I'm working with in Sweden is an old business partner of the guy who created woolpower (supposedly. He's also told me he's been a chauffeur for the Russian mafia) and he raves about how good they are. I'll try a pair out, thanks for the reccomendation [emoji106]

Thankyou, I've not heard of Andrews. What made you make the change?
I'll do some research
