Recommended Posts

hi

whats the best protection from rabbits

can use used full sized tree tubes for free

or the little tubes for hedging with a cane also used for free

would they tend to make the young plants to grow as single stems

aim to get stakes etc for home use

Can you still but SC whips? I thought that were becoming unavailable due to some disease. (Which I can't remember the name of)

Edit - found it. https://www.forestresearch.gov.uk/tools-and-resources/pest-and-disease-resources/sweet-chestnut-blight-cryphonectria-parasitica/

No idea, but if you plant chestnuts...
Or go to a coppice and dig your own.
Ramora from larch is crossing over to SC. Bit scary.
