I'd have had some of the fencing, but the money was poor and cis, it's not Ipswich it's Stowmarket. £140/day with 20% deducted at source, and they wanted to hold the money back for a week, to be fair to Sue she did say she could try to get the money through this  week. Not for me I'm afraid.

Every third post you make here is about how 'some geezer offered you a job, but it wasn't enough money'.

You go on and on about how you won't work for less than £200 a day and then when you get offered that servicing pumping stations, you work out that the boss man would be making (shock horror) profit upon your work. So you post on here about how he's taking the piss. Why don't you go and get your own service contracts then? Maybe your own insurance, advertising, staff and machines? See how the real businessmen on here do it.

If you really were Billy Big Bollocks, drain engineer supreme, who's highly skilled and won't work for less than '2 a day mate, take it or leave it', then you wouldn't even be enquiring about a job posted that's clearly for a general labourer. Instead, you enquire and then puff your chest out on this very thread about how the 'money was poor'.

Doobin... There's probably one for walking somewhere too ;-D

Eggsarascal...

You're right it was Stowmarket, not Ipswich, that's why the ad said "Near Ipswich" I think they're fairly close, not plane ride material anyway.

We weren't wanting to hold the money back, it just takes time to process invoices sometimes and if it's a construction job we have to deduct CIS, you know the whole government thing pfft they're naughty! But as you say I did say I would get it sorted for you. Why didn't you say when you were texting if you thought the money was so poor instead of publicly on here?? You did say you were ok to do it after I told you the rate and then just didn't reply after I said we could pay sooner

Plus I wouldn't say the money is that bad at £140 a day plus digs, when you have no PTS and none of the tickets we were asking for?!

You make some fair points, you did state PTS wasn't required. I explained that I would be interested in the fencing, nothing else so not trade ticket needed. When I thought about the CIS deduction, and doing a fifty mile round journey I'd be fencing for £100/day. No digs required.
