Ganoderma on beech advice and possible Picus

Anyone with a Picus near Kent who could test this beech please?

 

Also any thoughts on management? It's by a road but a lot of the roots are still intact. Conveniently you can see most of them!

 

There's 2 brackets, both quite large now. Have been monitoring for several years but this year they have really grown!
