Basic rigging gear

This topic  has probably been discussed lots before on here but I’m unsure which gear to buy and hopefully someone can give some pointers .which cheapish good pulley block for medium ash takedown rigging and karabiner which attaches to the webbing sling.

must fit the usual 11.7mm rope

It’s only a medium sized ash, basic rigging gear could be just an old climbing line, use the trees crotches for friction or wrap around the trunk. That’s as complicated as it needs to be. You could add in a pulley at the top so you can pull cut branches up if need be

Hi yes not particularly big tree but got stuff underneath to dodge.dmm pinto pulley any good for this? rated at 50kn which I think is half a ton 


The minimum breaking strength of the large pinto is 50kn which converts to 5000kg.
( just add two noughts to the KN value to get the KG ) That’s half either side of the pulley which takes you to 2500kg. Work in your safety factor of >5 and that gives you a WLL of 500kg.
The pinto is a good economic pulley for light rigging.
