Get a far bigger crane stand along way back not to damage edges etc and lift all out in one go

Silliest idea yet - break the crown down and leave the lot where it is for habitat.

I could get the waste off walking it over the log.. I tried to sell leaving the log as a bridge, we could have cut steps into it and everything.. Unfortunately the island is not owned by the tree owner and they want the tree gone..

Thats what I was thinking. process the crown back to as close to the edge of the bank as possible, then lift the crown end and drag the butt end .

Or process the tree down to a clean log, jack up both ends enough to get planks underneath, to span the stream, and acrow-prop the planks in the stream. Then pull out, should slide over the planks.
