Jensen a540

Morning All,

 

I recently had to change the hurshmann plug in my Jensen, but now it’s starting to heat this black box right up?

 

I did replace the plug with a big standard one and not one with a red led light? Don’t know if that makes a difference?

 

Any ideas?

The other side is cold surely because it is not energised all the time only when needed

I’ve been told a bad earth

Bad earth = higher resistance = heat .

Don' t buy his replacement oil pumps, A friend bought 2 from him and they both went pop and nearly blew engine. Fitted genuine and its been brilliant since
