Diesel smoke from the old lister hand crank mixer I was using yesterday and castrol R when an immaculate gt750 went passed me the other day with the van window open both sparked masses of nostalgia. Funny what does it!

I used to love the smell of R40 . I am sure modern synthetics do a better job but they don't smell as good !

Great to see so many good posts in this thread, i hope it encourages some of the people who are still sitting on the fence to go out and give Aspen a try.

Regular petrol really is nasty stuff ☠️💀 and the UK Arb/forestry industry hasn't done enough to educate workers about this up to now. Luckily more and more businesses are seeing the benefits and making the switch.

I have a meeting with the treasury at the end of this month with the aim of reducing/removing the road fuel duty on Aspen fuel, there are some great quotes i will likely use from posts within this thread in my presentation! fingers crossed!

Can I have the tax I've already paid back please?...
Show me ten people who run a car on alkylate petrol (pre mixed with 2stroke oil)?....

If you really want to run your car on Aspen just buy Aspen 4 . It has no 2T oil mixed with it . 🙂

I have been running my work car on aspen for the last few years, it adds about $130 onto my day rate, but no carb issues or head aches so has to be worth it. Plus i feel i may as well get my monies worth of the fuel tax hmrc charge.

And if you have been running it on Aspen from new the combustion chambers will be clean as a whistle .
