What is the first thing you look at when buying a stove?

Recommended Posts

I would be interested to learn the first thing you consider/look at when buying a stove - is it the brand, price, heat output range, etc.

Spares is a very important subject because if the stove has been discontinued and limited/no spares available going forward then it could prove very expensive/dangerous when you are not able to replace broken/worn parts. Many manufacturers will continue with spares for their more popular ranges, even when the stoves have been discontinued, as they create a strong long term income stream.
