Self releasing after lowering

Recommended Posts

Seriously this should NOT be considered.. You are planning on climbing, using a chain saw in a tree and rigging over a road.

You should not be working in a tree with a chainsaw on your own.

There 'might" be a time when you want to lower something from the tree, possibly if your groundie is busy but not over a road..
Having posted earlier with ideas I have to say I was thinking more about Bolam's cheeky Saturday branch, absolutely agree the scenario of dead branches over a road is not a one man job at all.

Other idea if you need to cut bigger bits is rig it off but let it hang near the stem and cut into smaller bits where you can reach it easy.

Reg Coates did a video using this. Lots of bits cut with slings and attached to central rig rope with friction hitches
