Self releasing after lowering

AJS, agreeing with people and taking good advice on board is totally against the spirit of Arbtalk.

You should be ashamed of yourself!

Very worthwhile topic for discussion though.

I’m sure most of us have taken on pisspotical little Saturday morning jobs where it’s barely worth having 2 men but there are a couple of annoying bits that would benefit from rigging.

I think the other thing about rigging more than a couple of bits is it will end up in a right old tangle on the ground, if you're on your own then cut and chuck means you can cut smaller and put some semblance of order into how they land.

Other idea if you need to cut bigger bits is rig it off but let it hang near the stem and cut into smaller bits where you can reach it easy.

Seriously this should NOT be considered.. You are planning on climbing, using a chain saw in a tree and rigging over a road.

You should not be working in a tree with a chainsaw on your own.

There 'might" be a time when you want to lower something from the tree, possibly if your groundie is busy but not over a road..
