Any decent grinder will not be cheap.
I use a stihl HOS and it's superbly accurate.
Manually fed though, so its slow.
An automatic machine for 25"-84" chains would pay for itself in about 6-12months.
I lose a day every six weeks to grinding.

I know from reading your threads that you're a very busy man so I appreciate that sharpening must be a grind for you ?

The Stihl machine looks great but only a few quid cheaper than the automatic one....as an older guy I couldn't really justify the price but I get great results with the Granberg / diamond combination although I would imagine the HOS is probably quicker, cheers.

The great thing about the Granberg is you can sharpen accurately while 'still in the mill'. Hopefully if this Vallorbe is a) not too expensive b) they could maybe convert it to 12v and have it so it will sharpen a bar while still on a chainsaw mill... I expect there are a few issues to over come doing that..

Looks fantastic. Still takes fifteen minutes to sharpen a 20" bar though!

I'd be dead keen to try one

I found out the price of this and luckily was sitting down... not even going to bother saying what the price is!!

Swiss product with a Frenchman in the video? my guess is £4500 - £5000 to ensure minimal sales :scared:
