Am on holidays in Carnac Brittany.

have only seen one chipper 6 days (I know, sad person). That was in a yard in Napoleon with landrover and a mewp (wife wouldn’t let me pull in)

also saw o blue right hand drive crew cab transit in Auray.

also a John Deere compact with loader on truck with tree logo between auray and Carnac.

Just wondered if they were anyone on here.

The crew that were trimming the hedges all over the holiday park we’re in would just abandon their platform each evening.

“ah sure the kids might enjoy playing on it!”

Have you seen the local builders yards and farm supply stores?

All their goods behind an easy climb fence!

Pellenc have a big following over here.

Many council workers use them.

I'm very tempted myself having had a demo.

I do enough hedges to know the pain of a heavy 82R on at 4pm on a Friday and would probably re-equiped with their long arm telescopic hedge cutter, strimmer and pole saw all off one battery as my petrol ones should pensioned off before they cost me money.

Haven’t noticed builders yards as yet .

road workers seem to work well into the evening. Is it a two hour lunch or a kind of split shift?

weve started using battery saws at home and  a battery pole saw , great up to 4inch or so then bring on the petrol power. Haven’t tried battery hedge trimmers, we avoid hedge trimming unless work is quite or for regular good customer, hard on arms on shoulders . Back pack battery would have to be easier. I’d say hedge trimming would be heavy on battery to keep blade momentum going so large capacity battery would be a must
