I totally agree, and a video like that shows how people just stand and watch. Let's hope they pick on the wrong person 1 day but then he will probably do time for it.

People are getting killed in these attacks. If I were the victim and had to defend myself I wouldn’t waste time with punches, it would be throat strikes and eye gouges or any other violent extremes I could come up with, and then like you say it would be me doing time for it

I don't know about the rest of the UK, but round here things descended rapidly with the introduction of PCSO's.
This behaviour is now 'normalised'.
On plus side, should you kick their lips off, someone will likely video it and your self-defense will seem to be proportional to the Jury.

Found the article I referred to earlier:

FULLFACT.ORG

Across England and Wales in 2017, 38% of knife possession convictions among under 25s were convictions of non-white...

“White British” is a minority ethnic group in London (44.9%) when viewed in relation to the combined other ethnic categories.

Here's an interesting fact.
With advances in genetic testing....
We are all descendants of a woman who lived 200,000 years ago.
Also we are all the descendants of a man who lived 90,000 years ago.
We are all cousins.
Every human on the planet.

Good morning cousins

You wouldn't have said that if it was the other way round.

Whether 200,000 or 90,000 (let’s not quibble over the detail) years since we were all happy bed fellows, there have been that many ⬆️ years of social, religious, racial, geographic, economic etc, etc, etc divergence.

That divergence - organic and / or imposed - simply cannot be successfully reversed in the blink of an eye. It’s all very well saying weme all brothers from a different mother, but it don’t quite work out as easy as that....
