Get rid of incentives to do bad things. Taxes discourage work so people steal, black markets (for illegal drugs etc) preclude relatively peaceful legal dispute resolution so people use violence to settle disputes.

I was listening to Andrew Castle on the wireless this morning, he was saying he'd lived in London for 30 years but he couldn't stick it any more so he's doing one. If someone who I presume lives in an affluent part of London is away things ain't good.

You need more police to do that. Sadiq Khan has nothing to do with police numbers.

I can't see why the ones they currently have can't stop and search people. Might not be optimal but it's a start. Guarantee you knife crime would go down by some considerable margin.

Once again it's an example of the establishment worrying more about political correctness than talking openly, and tackling real problems.

They are killing each other at a rate of knots in London, some might say good, let them do away with each other but there are parents, brothers, sisters, aunts, and uncles left to deal with the aftermath. It needs stopping, but how is it done?

Or should we look at the maths?
If 20% of the population live in one city, why be surprised when 20% of the crime happens there?

I lived in a sleepy French village when I was younger.
Population about 3-400
Every few years someone would kill someone else with a shotgun.
Lovers tiff etc.
That makes it statically more dangerous than london.
Don't believe the hype.
