Exactly that, everyone values a stick except the only person that will actually buy it . Run it into a sawmill and they will all suck through their teeth , doubt if it would cover the transport.

First things first, the problem with oversized stuff (although that doesn’t look that big)  though pictures don’t tell the whole story, is that most sawmills can’t cope with bigger sticks, much more money to be made on 600 mm diameter stuff.

 

Secondly, cedar isn’t that sought after, at least that’s what the guys who have forked out tens or hundreds of thousands on grab lorries and sawmills tell me, I don’t disbelieve them.

 

Thirdly, it’s one stick, not a dozen, get real.

 

Make your money on the tree work, if you make a drink on the wood all the better.
