Ivy and tree inspections

Recommended Posts

Hi, so wondering how other problem deal with ivy on trees and inspections. So i send quote for survey, undertake site visit to find a number of trees can't be fully inspected due to ivy present. Write report and advise ivy strip and for the named tree to be inspected again recording any findings after strip has occurred.  Should i charge for second site visit?

Yes. But include in your quote something explaining that if ivy is present, and it needs to be removed so a thorough inspection can be undertaken then, if you are to carry it  out, there will be a further charge at your hourly rate plus mileage. Include in the quote what your hourly rate and mileage costs are.

I have been taught say what you see. *ivy covered tree - remove to allow further inspection.

That is the first survey done. Invoiced and paid.

Work is done by x/y/z

The next survey does not have to be done by you they could ask a competitor.

In my mind it's a 2nd contract.

Or state in the terms and conditions state that a revisit will be charged at £xxxx

Edward c was more clear and concise
