Cheque Imaging

Recommended Posts

Anyone else notice on their Barclays phone app you can now take 4 photos per week of cheques up to £500 for next day clearance?

This is bloody great. I currently have no Barclays near me so have to use the post office. Sometimes  2 weeks for a cheque to clear and recently one got lost. £2500 not in my account for nearly a month.

I'm hoping they upgrade it to more cheques and higher amounts. 1k would be nice. Don't think many customers would begrudge having to write 2 or 3 cheques for a large ish fence job.

Yea forestboy it’s great , I’ve had it for about 12 months or more now and Lloyd’s too , Barclays put it out on trial about 12 months ago which you had to apply to be in which I did and I have only been in branch about twice since , it’s not only the fact there is now less branches but they’re never open when us ‘busy folk ‘ have time to go.

Nice one forestboy, I didn't know about this, I don't get many cheques, but handy to know.

You're welcome

My business account is with Santander, I normally scan cheques in at the machine in branch. They clear next day, and the bank is only up the road, but depending on time of day it can be a right pain finding a parking space.

I'll have to take a look at the lloyds app, our nearest bank is 30miles now and when you're sales are 70% cheques that gets annoying...
