I have been asked to clad a cart shed for a colleague with waney edge boards, I have no idea on what type of timber would be suitable and how to go about pricing - The cart shed is not finished so exact amount required to be confirmed. Anyone offer any advice please?

I have not tried any local mills yet until I know what I am asking for, also got to await final dimensions of the shed to price up, the customer also wants matching gates so could be a half decent job. Just wanting to find out the best balance between cost and durability.

How is it priced, per ft, per board or cubic ft etc,

Depends where you buy it from.
At 12" wide, seasoned QS in 8' lengths with minor defects, air dried.
Not cheap, but high end rustic.
Roughly £20-£40 a piece depending on quality of grain.
For sidings you'd be looking at seconds. £20-£30 ish.
That's wholesale/bulk purchase.
*Prices may vary*
