Hi K, naw as the head is the wrong way round I will just use it till it breaks then make a new head that’s the right way round , and then put some bands round it if I need to it would look cool with bands round it though ,brass may look cool with the green heart , I would like an old Lignum bowling ball to make a mallet head out of ,or some iornwood

Cheers Mark

i have some rock hard timber you could use if you want mark?

i've cumaru, ekki, jatoba, bubinga and even some whitebeam and others that are like stone.

i do have lignum but that won't be cheap if you want some.

nice work mark but the grain on the head is the wrong way round.

Will the fact that it’s greenheart make it ok for use as a mallet? I know the grain is wrong way round, but it’ll still be pretty solid!
( obviously it’s cracked so is buggered anyway)
