Tree planted close to the house

Hi all, just after a bit of advise.

I am in the process of buying a house and after an inspection was done recently the bank have requested an arboriculturist report.

I think this is due to what looks like an olive tree planted very close to the back of the house. The tree isn't very big, maybe 4 or 5 ft high. Can anyone comment if this is likely to have caused damage? If the sale goes through I plan on removing the tree. But the bank need satisfying with a arboriculturalist report first.

Many thanks

If you are some way down the buying route contact the owners and just ask them to remove it (30 second job) and take a photo. Tell them it is likely to delay the sale otherwise.

It will save you at least £200.

ps. I doubt very much that will have done any damage.

Thanks yes I had the idea of just asking them to remove it also. I suggested it to the mortgage broker but he said the bank want the report now so they can be assured no damage has been done. Shame the seller didnt remove it in advance but oh well.
