Brilliant. Thanks guys, I had calculated it wrong and used the dry weight of dry timber so you saved me some embarrassment. I'll try to post a picture later in the week once I've hauled it to the yard. (I've cut it down to 8 ft)

Seems your sorted now. My memory of sequoia is that it is very significantly heavier than youd think when green, and significantly lighter than you'd think when dry. An off cut once had that was about 4ft diameter by 5 or 6ft length hichnid guessed to weight about a ton ( legal load) absolutely flattened the springs on my pick up to the extent that even I removed it and went to get a ifor to bring it home.
