Arrived on site this morning to see this guy carrying my logs and putting them in his estate car.
Pulled up next to him and said
"Oi you stealing my logs?"
Errrrr.....
He went very pale.
Would you kindly put my logs back. (Or similar choice words)
I went to his car, back seats down, tarp laid out, twenty logs of birch.
Made him re stack the lot.
Told him next time I'd be even more angry and then phone the police.
Don't think he'll be back.

Had similar . I said Hi . Were do you live ? Bloke said why .  I said coz I thought I might pop round and have a look in your fridge .  He said What ! ?  I said I need some milk and a bit of cheese .  Thought I would just help myself . Then the penny dropped ...

Bad idea Rough! You’ll end up with men in paper suits erecting a tent over your piles displaying quarantined area and then you’ll be slapped with a legal bill.

Land mines sound like a better option.

i heard of a bloke who had a similar situation someone kept nicking his chopped logs so he somehow drilled a hole inserted a crow scarer and plugged it, he did a few of these and left them in a prominent position, they disappeared and funnily enough he had no more logs go missing!

I made the same argument to our local blond, and fond of herself, and very ineffectual, ex RUC, Environmental Warden, when she rather primly suggested that I had no grounds for reporting flytipping on our land, because there were no signs displayed.

Except I simply said; 

"do you mind if I come round and crap in your good front room, because I bet you dont have any signs not telling me to do that".
