I have a 338 in the shed somewhere.  Nothing on earth would possess me to rebuild it. :- )

Actually rather like them. When they run well they are a good saw. Both mine have flipped the crank bearing seals so I imagine this gave a few people grief- sucking air thru bearing not the carb . So who are L&S ? K

I had an EPA version of the 338 for California . It was 45 + cc to try and get some power back after fitting all the emission stuff . Could not cut its way out of a soggy paper bag .
