Advice on polishing ally truck sides please

Long story short: truck stolen but recovered Yay [emoji846]graphics have been removed on the ally sides. The metal has anodised with the weather but not under the stickers so you can clearly see the old logo marks.

About to get new logo but it won't be exactly the same size and impossible to put exactly over the old marks so will end up looking crap!

Need to polish out the marks before new logo goes on.

Any advice greatly appreciated [emoji16] Tia. a4070585-cdb3-4cbb-9b34-43356569dd39.jpg

Fully decal your side in a one piece one colour, then stick your new logo on that. You’ll buff it up to somewhere near but cos its oxidised at different rates where your stickers have been, it’ll start to show through again in a matter or months, possibly sooner.

+ 1 for that...

But it's there....lightly etch the surface and find an sign writer { art student } to copy over...might look better with a bit of a polish first....just an option, cheers

u need a chemical called aliclean or at least thats what its called where i buy it from , u have to dilute it properly as its an acid , i do my ali sides a couple of times a year and it looks like new afterwards , i mix it use a paint brush to put it on and rinse it off after about a minute as u cant leave it on too long

Get the new signage made on a full sheet the size and shape of the side, your sign writing co should be able to fit it for very little more than peel off stickers.
Saves you the time of cleaning the sides and will look sharper. It shouldn't be hard for a good co to match the alu colour for the background.
