Stihl ms180 (2-mix) modifications?

Hi!

I have a stock Stihl MS180 (2-mix) chainsaw. I need a little more power.

I would like to mod the carb and the muffler only. Please write me, how to do it, and attach pictures too!

I would like definitely change the original chain to a faster chain.

.325 would be great?

Or you could do your home work. Search here and elsewhere, find out what's possible and recommended in general with carb and muffler mods... just as everyone else does.

The MS180 has a muffler with a louvred cover screen on it, and a spark screen underneath. You could increase the opening of the louvres by prying them apart carefully and remove the spark screen if it is present.  If you have a dremel or some such, you can maybe open the muffler a bit more before replacing the louvre. The last one I was looking at had a fully clogged spark screen in it.

I would stick with the picco/LP chain on that 180, tho.
