Firewood humidity level

Hello,

I have read a few posts on this side of the forum about air dried firewood.

Certainly most of the hardwood punted out in Brittany by small scale sellers is high in moisture and requires further seasoning.

In reality, air dried is likely to achieve what level of humidity in the U.K? (Wales similar climate to West Brittany)

Is 15% achievable without a kiln?

Simple equation. Find your closest weather station on here https://www.wunderground.com/wundermap Sometimes worth checking a couple of station as you get the odd one giving strange readings

Set it to look at the last month or two's humidity and temperature. Then put the numbers into this https://www.woodworkerssource.com/shop/mois.html and you have the best you can do. Looking at few sites in that area 18-19% is about as good as you can get in the winter

Can't get 15% here unless sold in a nice summer
