Husky saws 390XP, 395XP, 3120XP to be discontinued?

Recommended Posts

Apologies if this has already been posted - I did have a quick scan.

I think Husky are going to be discontinuing all their larger saws starting with a 3! Due to emissions [that is a guess maybe someone can confirm].

I think Jonsie has the last lot of them and once they are gone... they will be gone. Pretty crazy!

I assume they have some replacements coming?

E-mailed Jonsie today and apparently not! Or nothing reported. Once the stock he has is sold that's it - finito!

So how come no one knows about this? Pretty weird...

I think the last ones came off production line in the last few months .... was toying with the idea of a new 395 whilst my local shop still has some but fancy something more modern... hopefully picking up a used 3120 soon though.

Welcome to the future !! there is a new 562 due soon and the guess at  a new 80 and 90 cc class would be fair . A 400i from Stihl later this year and prepare to say good bye to the 880 in it's present form ! So it would appear that they, Stihl and Husqvarna have just had to "comply" did anyone really think all the new tech was for us ? Up till now it would seem that "cleaning" the 50/60 cc range would do the job but it would appear not and now the rest of the ranges have to get a make over.

I wouldn't be surprised if we are seeing the last of the "big" saws , we here have gone to a 30 year rotation and no mill really wants big timber anymore and with the way the new tech runs it will be up to us to make do and if you really need a 3120/088 it will be a expensive special order !?
