Teufelberger Drenaline Spliced eye...

Hey guys.. just got my Drenaline and im absolutely loving the feel and Knotability. Just wondering if anyone else thinks that the spliced eye it came with seems flimsier and less substantial?? compared to Tachyon etc...

Splicing isn't my thing, but where is that image from?  Looks like the core is exposed?

Ah now thats cleared it up for me.. it is a slaice.. just looked at the specs 15kn loading is more than sufficient!

Its just a google stock image.. and yeah see what you mean! Turns out its a slaice and more than strong enough to keep me in the tree.

Not with the big Donk of whipping it comes with 6” below the slaice .
Won’t go through a Zig Zag , but then I like that as it means your rope can’t back feed out of your ZZ when changing over leaving you stranded like a ninny on your strop!!!
Someone suggested that they thought the eye had internal reinforcement by way of a thin aramid/Kevlar type insert but it was kind of a ‘fat bloke down the pub told me’ type info data burst so I can’t corroborate it ??‍♂️

Ok stand corrected on the feeding.

Had heard that too about the  internal reinforcement, but no pubs nearby

havent a clue on its strength but i thought it looked a bit crap when i first saw it!

iam sure its fit for purpose though.

I managed to squeeze the eye through the zigzag, but tight mind but we got there. The splice on mine is called spLIFED
